Somebody told me that the specific admin member was officially “unsorted” from her color group and made neutral this past summer. It was disruptive, and if any counselor had tried to do something like that, we would’ve gotten in huge trouble. They’d be going to their fellow color group members, telling them what they saw, and conspiring to move their item later. I’d have kids focused on archery, but then suddenly see the admin member + two campers sneaking around and no longer be focused on archery. There was a member of admin who was sorted into one of these groups, and would pull campers from activities to go look for these items. There was a component where each group had an item hidden from the other groups. Everybody got sorted into the color groups at the beginning of the summer and were given beads to wear that signified the group they were in. At my last camp it was lowkey the entire summer, though official events only took place a few days or activities a week with a few full day activities through the summer.
